Cortado Coffee

Morning. You lean bitter, so here is a 3 minute cortado to start on. Equal parts espresso and warm milk.

3 min Easy

Pour reads the clock. This is what it would hand you right now.

So you scroll instead.

You get the urge for something. Coffee, a cocktail, whatever's actually in the fridge. And the answer is scattered across five apps that don't talk to each other. So you end up scrolling old screenshots instead of just drinking something good.

Sound familiar? That's the exact moment Pour is built for.

Three ways in.

1

Open the app

Today's pick is already there, matched to the time of day.

2

Check the fridge

See exactly what you can make right now.

3

Or invent something

Pour builds you a drink from what you've got.

Cocktails, coffee, zero-proof. One app, however you actually drink through your day.

It shows up before you open it.

A new drink on your home screen every time you unlock your phone. One honest nudge in the morning, a single coffee pick, and then it leaves you alone.

Screenshots don't really do it justice. The app is built. Open it below and see what we mean.

Abhishek Paatni, founder of Pour, drinking a coffee

Why we built this.

I kept wanting a drink and ending up in my camera roll, scrolling screenshots of recipes I'd saved and never made. The answer was always somewhere. A blog, a video, a note to myself. Just never in one place at the moment I actually wanted it.

So I built the thing I wanted. One app that answers the question, whatever time of day it is, using what's already in the kitchen.

Questions, answered.

What is Pour?
Pour is a mobile app that gives you an instant answer to what you should drink right now, across cocktails, coffee and zero-proof drinks, and then shows you exactly how to make it.
When does Pour launch?
No date has been announced. Pour is still in development. Anyone on the early access list gets one email the day it reaches the App Store and Google Play.
Which platforms will Pour be on?
iOS and Android, released on the same day from a single codebase.
Can I try Pour before it launches?
Yes. The full interactive prototype runs in your browser, embedded above on this page and at /prototype.html. No sign-up and no install.
Does Pour cover non-alcoholic drinks?
Yes. Coffee and zero-proof drinks are first-class categories, not an afterthought. Roughly a third of the directory is each.
How does the fridge matcher work?
You record what is on your shelf. Pour shows every drink you can make right now, and separately the ones you are exactly one ingredient short of, naming the item you are missing.
Does Pour handle allergies?
Yes, as a hard filter. Set them once and conflicting drinks are excluded everywhere: suggestions, search, the widget and the creation engine. That matching is exact and alias-based against a canonical ingredient list, and it is never handed to a language model.
How many notifications does Pour send?
One a day at most, at a time you choose, and it stays off until you opt in. Ignore it for two weeks and it downshifts to weekly on its own. There are no streaks.
Who makes Pour?
Abhishek Paatni, working alone.
How do I get early access to Pour?
Enter your email anywhere on this page. It opens a pre-written message to Abhishek, and one email comes back on launch day. Nothing before that.

Be there for the first pour.

We're finishing up before this goes on the App Store. Get on the list, and you'll be the first to know, and the first to pour.
